With every visit to the past in our mind we add something from the present. We color our memories every time we think of them, preserving only a mere skeleton from the reality, which we dress with what we think of as real and we enter the world of illusions that brings us joy. Our false memories are dear to us because they are created from us and do not reflect the real story behind them.
