PATH THROUGH THE PATHWAYS

 2025

“The paths and clearings that imperceptibly accompany the road are our only road — for us, who keep talking in order to exist, and sleep on the shore without it freezing us in terror.”

Rene Char

A series of five stained-glass panels based on found aerial photographs of Buinovtsi forestry from 1990 and inspired by a poem by René Char. The work transforms documentary images originally made for mapping and control into a contemplative visual space where light, transparency, and reflection activate the viewer’s presence. Its core concept lies in the tension between what is visible and what is absent—between recorded information and lost context. The series offers a philosophical reflection on memory, archiving, and the fragility of both natural landscapes and the systems used to document them.
